While exploration and mining in Mexico have been hampered by suspensions and slowdowns of operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the country will get through this challenge and gradually resume normal operations. According to the 2020 CPM Silver Year Book, Mexican silver production has grown 48% since 2010 to 190.3 million ounces in 2019 and its share of global mine production increased from 18.7% in 2010 to 25% in 2019.
